Sara Grey & Kieron Means
8 PM, Friday, March 5th
$10 ($8 F & B Members)

This mother and son duo are making a welcome return to the Fiddle & Bow stage. Sara Grey is America-born but has lived in Scotland for many years. She is considered one of the finest interpreters of American folksongs on the scene. Her performances have been described as “...akin to sitting in a friend’s kitchen, drinking her wine and sharing her songs and stories.” She accompanies herself with clawhammer style banjo.

Kieron Means is one of the most talented young performers on the British and American folk scenes. A strong singer and excellent guitarist, Kieron also interprets American folksongs, as well as those of the British Isles, and has also written some fine songs of his own.

Fans of traditional song do not want to miss this show.

Morwenna Lasko & Jay Pun

8 PM, Friday, March 19th
$10 ($8 F & B Members)

Morween Lasko and Jay Pun are based in Charlottesville, Virginia. They describe their music as a mixture of world, jazz, folk and funk. Morween plays violin and sings and Jay adds guitar and vocals. “This duo is a force. The music comes from the heart and bristles with excitement and inventiveness...” Aer Stephen - (“Folk & Beyond” WTJU).

They met in a “Music of India” class at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, became friends and eventually moved to Charlottesville to begin working together musically. They soon found performing their own music beat session work, teaching and the other ways they had been making their livings for awhile. What they have created is refreshing and unique. Their musical influences are many and varied, from Django Reinhardt to Joni Mitchell to the Bulgarian Women’s Choir.

We like pushing the boundaries of what falls under the vague heading “folk music.” We think you’ll really like this example.

Eric Taylor
Special House Concert

8 PM, Tuesday, March 23th
$10 ($8 F & B Members)
at 4201 Thorn Ridge Rd, Winston-Salem

When Eric’s tour schedule was worked out Fiddle & Bow did not have an open Friday night. However, we did not want to miss the chance to present Eric in concert in this intimate, if small scale style. We feel he is one of the very best songwriters on the American music scene.

Seating is limited so please call as early as possible to reserve a place.
