Can
you really trust your gut?
Use movement, breath, & meditation to get to know your own 5 Internal
Organ Energies. Learn to communicate with your Lungs, Kidneys, Liver, Heart
and Spleen as your own personal guiding spirits who long to help you achieve
physical healing, healthy relationships, & spiritual awakening.
Everyone knows about "gut reactions" and the value of
"trusting your gut." Chinese Medicine makes this intuitive
awareness highly concrete and tangible by highlighting the unique voices,
consciousness, and intelligence of our own organs. You might say that each
of us have five wise guides in our five major organs. These organs are
enlivened by an type of intelligence that is highly personalized to us, yet
mirrors within our own bodies the 5 elemental powers of nature. If we
neglect, isolate, or ignore these great sources of internal wisdom, we set
ourselves up for stress, problems, confusion, and frustration. Cultivating
our relationships with them leads to health, energy, and a sense of living
our lives with purpose, intention, and direction.
In this workshop the instructors will introduce a variety of tools for
cultivation, including tai chi movements, guided meditation, healing
practices, and alchemical principles for change. All fitness levels are
welcome and no prior experience is required.
Scheduled
Instructors: Alan Graham, Beverly Isley-Landreth, and Sandy Seeber
Led by Three Treasures Tai Chi, who share a common dedication to the
practice of Tai Chi as a peaceable art as well as a vehicle of healing for
individuals and communities. Visit www.threetreasures.org.
